BATON ROUGE, La. | The Grambling State University women's soccer team were defeated 1-0 by Southern University Friday evening at the A.W. Mumford Stadium.
Taylor Henry clinched the Jaguars' victory over Grambling State (5-7-3 overall, 3-1-0 SWAC) with a late goal in the second half.
The defeat ended GSU's impressive SWAC unbeaten streak at 18 games.
Southern University improved to 4-9-1 and 3-1-1 in the SWAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Southern secured their victory with a goal from Taylor Henry in the 86th minute, she was assisted by Sydney Babineaux.
