Gage, Pratt, and Covey- Taylor Sweep Weekly SWAC Soccer Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Grambling State University women's soccer team swept the weekly Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) awards for a third time this season, announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Jayla Gage earned the Offensive Player of the Week accolade, Adrianna Pratt was recognized as the Defensive Player of the Week. Madison Covey-Taylor was awarded Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
 
Gage had an impressive performance, scoring three goals and providing one assist across two victories. She played a key role in a dominant 8-1 triumph over Prairie View A&M, netting two goals. Additionally, she contributed to the 3-1 win against Texas Southern with a crucial goal and an assist. She leads the SWAC with 13 goals on the season.

Adrianna Pratt delivered a standout performance on the backline, significantly restricting opponents offensive opportunities in two victories. She limited Texas Southern to just four shots and held Prairie View A&M to a mere three shots.

Madison Covey-Taylor showcased her exceptional goalkeeping skills in two victories, maintaining an impressive average of just one goal allowed per game.
