BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) recognized four Grambling State University women's soccer standouts on Tuesday.

Sophia Lezizidis earned Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Kaylen Jankans was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Jaliyah Clark collected Goalkeeper of the Week recognition.

Taya Sands was recognized as Newcomer of the Week, capping a dominant weekend for the Lady Tigers.

Lezizidis earned the recognition following her two-goal performance in the 4-0 win over Jackson State and assist in the 2-0 victory against Southern.

Jankans played 180 minutes of shutout defense, allowing only three total combined shots on goal from Southern and Jackson State.

Her performance included an assist to Liana Bryant to open the scoring against Jackson State ending JSU's five-game shutout streak.

Sands helped anchor the Grambling State defense, delivering a commanding performance on the backline that included a beautiful free-kick goal from outside the box to make the score 3-0 against Jackson State.

Clark collected her third clean sheet of the season in the win over Jackson State.
