PRAIRIE VIEW, TX. | The Grambling State University women's soccer team kept its momentum rolling with a hard-fought 3–2 road win over Prairie View A&M on Friday afternoon at the Lady Panther Soccer Field.
With the win, Grambling improved to 6–6–3 overall and 3–0–1 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play, extending its unbeaten streak to four matches. Prairie View dropped to 2–10–2 and 1–3–1 in the league.
The Lady Tigers struck early, opening the scoring in the fourth minute when
Giulia Altomare buried a shot off a setup from
Nyla Dore-Anderson to make it 1–0.
Just four minutes later,
Liana Bryant doubled the advantage to put Grambling ahead 2–0.
Prairie View responded in the ninth minute with a goal from Ashanti Hall, cutting the lead to 2–1 before halftime.
After the break, Grambling maintained control of possession and continued to create chances. I
n the 70th minute, Altomare struck again, netting her second goal of the match off an assist from
Chloe Bryant to push the lead to 3–1.
Prairie View made it interesting late, with Niasia Goodwin finding the net in the 81st minute.
The Lady Tigers defense held strong the rest of the way to secure the win.
Altomare led the way with two goals on two shots, while
Liana Bryant added one goal and
Chloe Bryant and Dore-Anderson each tallied an assist.
Grambling outshot Prairie View 15–6 and earned a 10–1 advantage in corner kicks.

Jaliyah Clark continued her steady play in net making three saves in 90 minutes of action.
