MONROE, La. | Grambling State women's basketball fell 74–55 to the University of Louisiana Monroe on Tuesday evening inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
The Lady Tigers started strong taking an early lead behind the play of
Shaniah Nunn, but ULM responded with a strong second quarter to seize control.
The Warhawks outscored Grambling State 28–15 in the period and carried that momentum through the remainder of the game.
With the loss, Grambling State dropped to 1–3 overall, while ULM improved to 3–0 on the season.
Nunn led the Lady Tigers with a double-double, finishing with 19 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 6-of-13 from the field and 7-of-13 from the free-throw line.
Monica Marsh added 11 points and one steal, while
Claire Simmons contributed seven points and five rebounds.
Grambling State shot 29 percent from the floor (18-of-62) and 20.8 percent from beyond the arc (5-of-24).
ULM countered with an efficient 46.6 percent shooting performance and out-rebounded the Lady Tigers 46–33.
The Warhawks were paced by J'Mani Ingram's 16 points and six rebounds.
Marcavia Shavers and Asjah Inniss also reached double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Grambling State battled back in the second half, scoring 29 points across the final two quarters, but ULM's consistency inside and at the line kept the lead out of reach.

- Grambling State shot 18-of-62 from the field (29.0 percent) and 5-of-24 from three (20.8 percent).
- ULM shot 27-of-58 from the field (46.6 percent) and 2-of-8 from deep (25.0 percent).
- Grambling State finished 14-of-27 at the free-throw line (51.9 percent), while ULM went 18-of-30 (60.0 percent).
- ULM held a 46–33 rebounding advantage.
- Grambling State forced 24 turnovers and totaled nine steals.
