Lady Tigers Dominate Ouachita Baptist in 93–45 Home Victory

GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State dominated from start to finish on Sunday afternoon, rolling past Ouachita Baptist 93–45 on Community Day inside Willis Reed Court at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

The Lady Tigers came out with pace and efficiency, exploding for 31 first-quarter points to take immediate control and never allow Ouachita Baptist to settle in.

Grambling State pushed tempo in transition, created easy scoring opportunities off turnovers, and continued to separate throughout all four quarters.

With the win, Grambling State improved to 1–2 on the season, while Ouachita Baptist dropped to 0–1.

Claire Simmons led the Lady Tigers with 18 points and 11 rebounds, recording a double-double while shooting 8-of-15 from the field.

Shaniah Nunn finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Zhaniah Ervin added 11 points and seven boards off the bench.

Deborrah Seitu-Redmon posted eight points on a perfect 2-for-2 shooting day, and Alieghya Bartholomew contributed nine points and two steals.

Grambling State shot 45.1 percent from the floor and forced 32 turnovers, converting those mistakes into 41 points.

The Lady Tigers also owned the interior, scoring 56 points in the paint and grabbing 56 total rebounds.
