BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) recognized Grambling State University women's basketball standout Shaniah Nunn on Tuesday as the league's Impact Player of the Week following her strong play in non-conference competition.
Nunn delivered a productive week for Grambling State, averaging 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game across three contests while providing a steady presence on both ends of the floor.
She turned in her best performance against Louisiana Tech, posting a game-high 22 points on 8-of-18 shooting while adding 10 rebounds to record a double-double.
Nunn also contributed defensively with four steals and two blocks in 35 minutes of action, helping keep the Tigers competitive against the Conference USA opponent.
Nunn continued her consistent play against Central Arkansas, finishing with 10 points and six rebounds in limited minutes.
Her efficiency was notable, as she connected on five of her seven field goal attempts while battling in the paint and on the glass.
In Grambling State's 93–38 victory over Jarvis Christian, Nunn added four points and five rebounds in 13 minutes.
She helped the Tigers control the boards and set the tone early in a dominant team performance.
