NATCHITOCHES, La. | The Grambling State University baseball suffered an 11-1 loss in seven innings to Northwestern State at Brown-Stroud Field on Tuesday night.
GSU (4-11) struggled find consistent offense, being limited to two hits in the contest.
Trey Bridges went 1-for-2 while
Aries Gardner went 1-for-3.
Northwestern State (9-7), on the other hand, was able to score 11 runs on 11 hits.
GSU starting pitcher
Nick Robinson (0-2) was tagged with loss after going 1.1 innings. He allowed no hits but surrendered three runs hitting two batters and walking one. He also registered a strikeout.
The Tigers used five pitchers out of the bullpen
Taylor Dooley (1.0 IP),
John Decoste (1.0 IP),
Hampton Phillips (0.2 IP),
Carlos Peguero (1.0 IP) and
Thomas Leiden (1.0 IP).
Kevin Robinson (3-0) earned the win for NSU after giving up no runs on two hits in 4.0 innings of work. He struck out three batters and walked two.
