GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University men's basketball team enters the 2025 Starry Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Basketball Tournament as the No. 8 seed and will open play on Tuesday versus No. 9 Alabama A&M at the Gateway Arena in Atlanta, Ga.
GSU, the defending SWAC champs, enters the tournament after posting a 10-21 overall record with a 7-11 mark in conference play. AAMU enters Tuesday's game after going 10-21 and 6-12 in the SWAC.
Grambling State swept the season series with the Alabama A&M, defeating the Bulldogs 72-61 on Feb. 10 in Huntsville, Ala. and 67-51 on March 6.
The 2025 SWAC Basketball Tournament will begin on Tuesday, March 11 with opening round games and conclude on Saturday, March 15 with the championship games.
The 2025 SWAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments will feature new formats with ten men's and women's teams qualifying for tournament play.
