GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University volleyball team has unveiled its 2025 schedule, featuring three early-season tournaments, and a loaded Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) schedule with 12 home matches inside the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

Head coach Paige Phillips and the Tigers open the season with the annual Black and Gold scrimmage on Saturday, August 16. 

Grambling then travels to Monroe for an exhibition match at ULM on August 22 before heading to Starkville, Mississippi to play in the Mississippi State Tournament.

At the Tournament, the Tigers face Southeast Missouri on Aug. 29 at 11 a.m., followed by a doubleheader on Aug. 30 against North Alabama at 2 p.m. and host Mississippi State at 7 p.m.

Grambling State returns home Sept. 2 to host Nicholls in a 6 p.m. non-conference matchup before hitting the road for the SWAC/Southland Challenge. 

That weekend includes matchups against Abilene Christian on Sept. 12 and Nicholls on Sept. 13, both played at Nicholls, followed by a Sept. 14 contest at New Orleans.

The Tigers will participate in the Southern Miss Invitational on Sept. 19–20 with matchups against Southern Miss and Northwestern State. 

The Tigers then host Louisiana Tech on Sept. 23 at 6 p.m.

Grambling State opens SWAC play on the road at Alabama State on Sept. 26 and Alabama A&M on Sept. 28, followed by a three-match home stand in early October against

Arkansas–Pine Bluff (Oct. 2), Alcorn State (Oct. 5) and Southern (Oct. 6).

GSU hits the road again to visit Prairie View A&M on Oct. 12 and Texas Southern on Oct. 13.

Grambling State closes out October with four straight home matches against Jackson State (Oct. 19), Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 20), Bethune–Cookman (Oct. 26) and Florida A&M (Oct. 27).

The Tigers host Souther University-New Orleans in a non-conference contest on Nov. 4, then return to SWAC play with road trips to UAPB (Nov. 6), Alcorn State (Nov. 9) and Southern (Nov. 10).

Grambling State concludes the regular season at home against Prairie View A&M (Nov. 14) and Texas Southern (Nov. 16), which will serve as Senior Night.
