LORMAN, Miss. | The Grambling State University women's soccer team twice grabbed the lead but was forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with Alcorn on Friday evening at Key City Park.
With the result, Grambling moves to 2-6-3 overall and 0-0-1 in SWAC Conference play.
Alcorn sits at 1-4-4 overall and 0-0-1 in the SWAC.
The Lady Tigers struck first in the 30th minute when
Chloe Bryant found the back of the net off an assist from
Nyla Dore-Anderson to give Grambling a 1-0 advantage.
Alcorn equalized shortly after halftime as Annick Zouma scored in the 51st minute to even the match at 1-1.
Grambling regained control in the 76th minute when
Alana Aiken slotted home a finish set up by
Adalie Hernandez.
With just 80 seconds left in regulation, the Braves salvaged a result as Natalie Penniston-John converted off a feed from Ainara Aldeano to lock the game at 2-2.
