GRAMBLING, La. | Quianna Chaney, an assistant coach with the Grambling State women's basketball team has been selected for induction into the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026.
Each year, the LHSAA and LHSCA invite principals and coaches from across the state to take part in the nomination process.
Through this effort they recognize and honor coaches, athletes, administrators, officials, and athletic contributors who are worthy of Hall of Fame distinction.
Candidates must meet specific criteria for consideration, and those chosen represent individuals whose accomplishments have left a lasting impact on Louisiana high school sports.
Before joining the Grambling State women's basketball staff as an assistant coach, Chaney spent seven seasons leading the Southern Lab girls' basketball program.
During her tenure, she transformed the program into one of the state's most respected.
Her leadership led the team to capture the 2022 Louisiana State Championship and finish as State Runner-Up in 2023.
Chaney's teams also claimed back-to-back district titles, and she earned District Coach of the Year honors in 2022 and 2023.
This recognition further solidified her reputation as one of Louisiana's premier high school coaches.
The Induction Ceremony is scheduled for April 20, 2026.
