BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) recognized Grambling State women's basketball standout
Shaniah Nunn as the league's Player of the Week on Tuesday following the Tigers first two conference games of the season.
Nunn opened SWAC play with a strong performance against Texas Southern.
She recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 6-of-11 from the field.
The effort came in a narrow loss for the Tigers.
Nunn also added a block and a steal.
She followed that effort with her best outing of the week in an 85–60 win over Prairie View A&M.
Nunn poured in 20 points on 9-of-15 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds, and collected three steals to help lead the Tigers to victory.
