NATCHITOCHES, La. | Grambling State fell 12–0 to Northwestern State in a five-inning nonconference matchup Tuesday evening at the Lady Demon Diamond.
Northwestern State scored seven runs in the first inning and added five more in the third to build a commanding lead.
Grambling finished with four hits, coming from
Cadashia Collins,
Ziya Donaldson,
Tavia Leadon, and
Toni Purchas.
Hailei Harrell and
Hailey Hughes each swiped a base for the Tigers.
Zoe Roland took the loss in the circle.
Harrell tossed 2.2 innings in relief, while
Jaidan Richard recorded a scoreless inning with one strikeout.
Mattison Buster earned the win for Northwestern State throwing four shutout innings.

Grambling State heads to Commerce, Texas, for the Lion Invitational and will open the tournament against Southeast Missouri State on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 4 p.m.
