GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State Athletics officially announced its 2026 GSU football schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2026 slate features five home games, four road contests and two neutral-site battles.
GSU opens the season at home inside Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium versus Clark-Atlanta on Aug. 29. GSU and CAU previously faced each other during the 2017 season in the Chicago Football. The G-Men won that game 31-20.
One week later, on Sept. 5, the Tigers welcome Central State to town. GSU and CSU have played each other six times with the first contest occurring in the 1948 Vulcan Bowl. The most recent meeting between the two programs happened in 1996 with CSU winning 20-7.
Grambling State travels to Ft. Worth, Texas on Sept. 12 to take on TCU. It will be the second time the two programs meet on the gridiron and the first since 2012.
Following a bye week, the G-Men return to action when its heads back to the Lone Star State to open Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play versus Prairie View A&M in the State Fair Classic at the Cotton Bowl.
On Oct. 3, Grambling State hosts Alcorn State for Homecoming. The following week, on Oct. 10, GSU welcomes Jackson State to "The G." The Tigers defeated JSU 26-24 in the inaugural Las Vegas HBCU Classic last season.
The Tigers hit the road and travel to Huntsville, Ala. to face Alabama A&M on Oct. 17.
Grambling State takes the show back on the road on Oct. 31 when the Tigers battle Texas Southern in Houston, Texas.
GSU opens November with a home game when it welcomes Arkansas-Pine Bluff for Senior Day on Nov. 7 before heading to Daytona Beach, Fla. to play Bethune-Cookman.
Grambling State concludes the regular season in New Orleans, La. in the 53
rd annual Bayou Classic versus Southern at the Caesars Superdome on Nov. 28.
