BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) recognized Grambling State women's basketball standout
Alisha Murray as both the SWAC Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week following two dominant performances that powered the Lady Tigers to back-to-back conference victories.
Murray provided an immediate spark off the bench in Grambling State's 71–68 overtime win against Bethune-Cookman.
She poured in a game-high 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting, knocking down 2-of-4 from three-point range.
The junior forward also added five rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in the victory.
Murray followed that effort with another highly efficient outing in a 79–65 win over Florida A&M.
She finished with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, grabbed eight rebounds, and recorded two blocks and a steal to help lead the Tigers to the win.
Across the two contests, Murray averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 65 percent from the field.
