Lady Tigers Score Early, Score Often in Sweep of Wiley

MARSHALL, TX. | Grambling State softball exploded offensively in a doubleheader sweep of Wiley on April 7, winning 13-3 and 14-2.

The Lady Tigers (13-20) jumped on Wiley early in both games and never let up.

In the first game, Cadashia Collins got things started with a sacrifice fly in the opening inning, scoring Ahsunte' Specks.

Ziya Donaldson added an RBI single in the third.

Grambling State's bats went into overdrive in the fifth inning, scoring eight runs on a mix of hits and Wiley (5-18) errors.

Kendyll Turpeau, Hailey Hughes, and Hailei Harrell all contributed key RBIs.

Hailei Harrell earned the win on the mound, striking out five over five innings.

The second game was more of the same as Grambling State scored eight runs in the first inning.

Kendyll Turpeau was hit by a pitch to drive in the first run, and Tavia Leadon added a two-RBI single.
