BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Grambling State University women's volleyball team was represented on the 2026 Preseason All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) team, with
Kenya Lucas earning Second-Team honors, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
The preseason honors were determined by a vote of the conference's head coaches and Sports Information Directors.
A key returner for the Lady Tigers, Lucas played in 84 sets last season, recording 251.5 points and averaging 2.99 points per set.
She finished with 228 kills, averaging 2.71 kills per set, while posting a .209 attack percentage.
Lucas also recorded 37 total blocks.
In the 2026 SWAC Preseason Poll, Grambling State was selected to finish ninth in the conference, receiving 93 points.
The SWAC Tournament Championship is scheduled to take place November 20-22 at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama.
