Bryant Ross enters his first season as the offensive line coach at Grambling State University.
From 2018-2020 Coach Ross has been at University of Louisiana as assistant offensive line coach under Head Coach Billy Napier. During his time with the Ragin Cajuns, the offense set school records in rushing and the offense flourished because of it. The 2020 season four of the five offensive lineman received all Sunbelt conference honors. The offensive line has been a finalist for the Joe Moore Award given to the nation’s top Offensive Line all 3 years while Ross was on staff. Ross has been a part of a program that has made the Sunbelt Conference championship team each season since his arrival. University of Louisiana has gone 28-11 in 3 years and 21-4 in the last 2 years. The Ragin Cajuns set a school record winning 10+ games the last two years. Ross has been a part of a unit that has been top 10 in college football in rushing the last 2 years. Coach Ross helped Louisiana to a 2-1 bowl games record and 2020 Sunbelt Conference Championship. He also had the pleasure of being able to coach Robert Hunt who was a second round draft pick and Kevin Dotson who was a fourth round draft pick both to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In 2017, Ross was the offensive line graduate assistant on Dan Mullen’s Mississippi State’s staff. While at MSU, Ross helped coached a unit that improved from 6-7 in 2016 to 9-4 in 2017. That unit improved in rushing from 23rd in 2016 2,900 yards to 11th in 2017 3,300 yards. Ross also coached 3 SEC Lineman of the week. At Mississippi State Ross Coached 3 NFL draft picks; Elgton Jenkins 2nd riound pick Green Bay Packers, Tyree Phillips 3rd round Baltimore Ravens, and Martinas Rankin 3rd round pick Houston Texans. Coach Ross helped Mississippi State to a Gator Bowl Championship over Lamar Jackson led Louisville Cardinal team.
From 2014-2016 Ross served as the run game coordinator and offensive lien Coach at Central State University. In his first season at CSU, Ross took an offensive line unit that was ranked near the bottom of the conference to one of the top pass and run blocking teams in the SIAC. The Marauders gave up just 11 sacks which was the second least among all SIAC schools and ranked 36th best in all of Div. II football. The offensive line paved the way for the conference's third best rushing attack averaging 183 yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry. Coach Ross served as an offensive line coach at West Hills College where the team went from 2-8 to 10-1 and won the Northern California Conference Championship and won the first bowl game since 1982.
Bryant is from Atlanta, GA where he played high school football at Booker T. Washington. Ross attended West Hills Community College for two years and transferred to Alabama A&M University. Bryant is married to Brittany Ross and they have a daughter by the name of Brooklynn.
