Devin Cooper enters his first season as an assistant coach for Grambling State women’s basketball ahead of the 2025–26 campaign.

He brings a decade of collegiate coaching experience, with a strong background in player development, recruiting, and program building.

Cooper most recently served as an assistant coach at the University of Louisiana-Monroe during the 2024–25 season.

Prior to ULM, he spent eight seasons at Jones College in Ellisville, Mississippi, where he helped lead the program to a 198–33 overall record (.857).

During that stretch, the Bobcats posted seven straight 20-win seasons, made seven consecutive NJCAA Division I Tournament appearances, and reached the Sweet 16 three times, the Elite Eight twice, and the Final Four in 2022.

While at Jones College, Cooper worked closely with the post players and was instrumental in recruiting and overall program development.

He began his coaching career under Hall of Famer Sandra Sumrall and later served under longtime head coach Missy Bilderback.

In 2023–24, Cooper joined ULM as the director of basketball operations before being elevated to assistant coach.

A native of Mount Olive, Mississippi, Cooper holds an associate degree from Jones College and a bachelor’s degree in general studies from the University of Southern Mississippi.
