Jasmine Smith earned the Grambling State University Female Student-Athlete of the Week.

Smith scored twice last week as the Grambling State women’s soccer team fell just short in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women’s Soccer Tournament. Her goal in the 68th minute extended the lead to 2-0 in the quarterfinals over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which the Lady Tigers went on to win 3-0. In the semifinals with the score deadlocked at 0, Smith provided the knockout punch to Alabama State with a goal in the 84th minute to give GSU the 1-0 victory. Smith was selected to the SWAC All-Tournament Team.
