Shakyla Hill was named the Grambling State University Female Student-Athlete of the Week.
Hill, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, averaged 19.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 4.5 steals in two road losses. She poured in 20 points, nine assists, eight boards and four steals in playing all 40 minutes against Wichita State.
Against South Florida, Hill posted 18 points, 11 boards, six assists and five steals in playing 28 minutes. She averaged 34.0 minutes in the two games. Also, she shot 86.7 percent (13-of-15) from the free-throw line.
