New Orleans, La. - The Grambling State University Tiger baseball team will begin Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament play tonight as they will face the Alabama State University Hornets at Wesley Barrow Stadium at the MLB Youth Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Tigers come into the the tournament as the number four seed out of the western division, while Alabama State University is the number one seed out of the eastern division., The last time that these two teams met was in 2012 in the MLB Youth Invitational., The Tigers came away with an 8-5 victory.
