HOUSTON, Texas | The Grambling State University volleyball team wrapped up Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Round-up play on Sunday with a 3-1 loss to Mississippi Valley State.
 
The Lady Tigers (6-14 overall, 2-3) dropped the match 25-23, 23-25, 25-22, 27-25.
 
Talicia Lang paced four Lady Tiger players in double-digit kills with 11 and added 15 digs. 
Chasity Nicks, Keverion Ward and 
Jaivienna Jones each finished with 10 kills. 
Diemend Richardson registered 26 assists, while 
L'Muriell Thrower chipped in with 14. Defensively, 
Erineka Mollere paced Grambling State with a match-high 26 digs. Nicks and Thrower recorded 16 and 12 digs, respectively.
 
Taylor Selfridge led MVSU offensively with 15 kills, while Kalin Barnes added 12. Jaime Polk registered a match-high 40 assists. Defensively, Barnes led the way with 26 digs, while Jessica Bell finished with 19. Selfridge and Tylia Dixon registered 18 and 15 digs each.
 
Inside the Numbers
· Grambling State finished the match with 52 kills, 94 digs, 49 assists, seven total team blocks and five service aces.
· Mississippi Valley State tallied 45 kills, 92 digs, 44 assists, seven total team blocks and 10 service aces.
· The Lady Tigers were held to just a .096 hitting percentage in four sets.
· Grambling State concluded the weekend going 2-3 in SWAC play.
