PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas | Kevreion Ward led four Grambling State University volleyball players in double digit kills as the Lady Tigers concluded the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Texas road swing with a 3-1 victory over Prairie View A&M on Monday night at the William J. Nicks Field House.
 
Grambling State (5-16 overall, 3-4 SWAC) dropped the opening set 25-22, but won the following three sets, 25-22, 25-20, 25-13, to win the match.
 
Ward, who hit .615 in the four sets, registered a team-high 16 kills on 26 attacks, with no errors. Chasity Nicks, Talicia Lang and Tess Reynolds each recorded 10 kills. L'Muriell Thrower dished out 26 assists, while Sheila Borders added 17. Defensively, Lang completed the double-double with a team-high 17 digs. Thrower chipped in with 14 digs and Kabria Dame added 11.
 
Jaylan Thomas paced Prairie View A&M (3-14, 3-3) with nine kills/ Erica Jimenez registered a double-double of 17 assists and 10 digs. Christen Augustine led the defense with 13 digs.

> Grambling State finished with 55 kills, 20 errors, 133 attacks (.263 hitting percentage)
> Prairie View A&M hit .148 (46 kills, 24 errors, 149 attacks)

For the first time all season, Grambling State will have a match inside the Fredrick C. Hobdy Center. The Lady Tigers will play host at 5 p.m. to rival Southern in a SWAC match.
