Jazmin Boyd scored 42 of the Grambling State University women's basketball's 68 points as the Lady Tigers swept the season series from Alcorn State, 68-51, in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game on Monday night at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

Grambling State (11-11 overall, 8-3 SWAC), which extended their win streak to four games, were tied with Alcorn State (9-13, 5-6) at eight after the end of the first quarter, but were able to take a 28-23 advantage into the break. The Lady Tigers out-scored the Lady Braves in the third, 19-14, and led by as many as 20 points in the final quarter to pick up the victory.

Hill led the way for the Lady Tigers with 22 points, six rebounds, six assist, and four steals, while Boyd added 20 points, four rebounds, one assist and one block.

Cloe Lane paced Alcorn State with 14 points, three rebounds and two steals, while De'Asia Brown added 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Turning Point
Grambling State held a slim 37-35 advantage after a bucket by Miracle Rushing with 3:30 left in the third quarter. However, the Lady Tigers closed out the period on a 10-2 run to take a 47-37 lead into the final quarter.

Grambling State extended the lead to 60-42 after a layup by Boyd with 4:32 remaining and Alcorn State could never recover.

Inside The Numbers
· Grambling State shot 44.4 percent (24-of-54) from the floor and 69.2 percent (18-of-26) from the free-throw line.
· Alcorn State was 19-of-62 (30.6 percent) shooting and 7-of-18 (38.9 percent) from the charity stripe.
· The Lady Tigers finished with 43 rebounds, with 30 coming on the defensive end.
· The Braves tallied 40 rebounds, with 19 coming on the offensive glass.
· Grambling State scored 34 points in the paint, 23 off turnovers, six fast break points and 13 second-chance points.
· Alcorn State scored 18 points in the paint, eight second-chance points and 17 points off turnovers.
· There were two lead changes and two ties.
