BATON ROUGE, La. | Chasity Nicks registered 10 kills as the Grambling State University volleyball team concluded play on Sunday of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Round-Up with a 3-2 thrilling five-set win over Mississippi Valley State at the Moody Complex.

Grambling State (3-15 overall, 2-3 SWAC) won the match, 22-25, 25-8, 18-25, 25-18, 15-10. The five-set victory was the second for the Lady Tigers during SWAC Round-Up play, as GSU defeated Alabama State (3-2) on Friday.

Nicks tallied 10 kills and eight digs to pace Grambling State.
L'Muriell Thrower registered a match-high 26 assists, while
Sheila Borders added 13.
Kabria Dame led the defense with 23 digs, while
Erineka Mollere added 10. Thrower and Borders completed the double-double with 14 and 10 digs, respectively.

Tyler Caliste paced the Devilettes (2-17, 0-5) with 11 kills, while Ariana Austin dished out 26 assists. Jessica Bell registered a match-high 33 digs and Taylor Selfridge and Austin recorded 16 and 14 digs.
