Hill posts triple-double in loss against Jaguars

GRAMBLING, La. | Shakyla Hill finished her first-career triple double, but it wasn't enough as the Grambling State University women's basketball team fell behind by double digits in the third quarter and could not complete a rally as the Lady Tigers fell to Southern, 86-81, in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game on Saturday afternoon at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

Grambling State (5-10 overall, 2-1 SWAC), which saw its two-game win streak snapped on Saturday, led 23-18 after one period, but trailed, 40-36, at the half. Southern (5-9, 2-1) took its largest lead in the third, but led, 60-57, entering the final period.
