Box Score GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University men's basketball team snapped a two-game skid with a 68-59 victory over East Texas Baptist University at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
In the battle of the Tigers, neither team could find the basket for nearly two minutes before senior forward Brian Thomas introduced himself to the game with a strong dunk to break the scoreless tie. The first half went back and forth as Grambling (1-2) led 33-29 at the break.
In the latter stanza, ETBU took a one-point lead with just under 13 minutes left to play, but Grambling finished the game on a 24-14 run with impressive play on the defensive end while hitting key buckets down the stretch including near back-to-back alley-oop slams from redshirt junior Christon and junior transfer Cameron Woodall which ignited Grambling fans in the the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
Christon finished with a game-high 14 points and grabbed eight boards while redshirt senior Prince Moss added 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and buried all four free throw attempts. Senior point guard Trevell Cunningham filled up the stat sheet and finished with nine points, seven assists, six rebounds, three steals and one block.
Senior post player Terreon Randolph made his presence felt in the paint and produced a game-high 10 rebounds in the victory. The Dallas native added six points, three steals and three assists for Grambling.
Teammates Charlie Cochran and Chris Haynes both had solid efforts or the ETBU Tigers, finishing with 15 points apiece in the loss.

> Grambling State was 23-of-58 (40 percent) shooting and 18-of-28 (64 percent) from the charity stripe
> ETBU shot 32 percent (20-of-62) from the field and 52 percent (11-of-21 from the free-throw line)
> The Tigers of ETBU registered 38 rebounds, including 11 on the offensive glass
> The GSU Tigers pulled down 44 rebounds, with 35 coming on the defensive end
> Grambling State finished with 23 bench points, 34 points in the paint, 13 points off of turnovers, 19 second-chance points and 18 fast break points
>East Texas Baptist tallied 18 points in the paint, 13 points off of turnovers, 13 bench points, eight second-chance points and six fast break points
