GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State University equipment manager
George Stubbs is a finalist for the District 4 Jeff Boss Equipment Manager of the Year Award. This is his second honor in three months as he was named
2019 SWAC Alumni Association Charles "Chuck" Prophet Wagon Master.
"Anytime you can be recognized in your field on a national level is a great feeling," said Stubbs. "Credit goes to my mentor Chuck Dawson. I am honored to carry on his legacy and tradition here at Grambling. He was like my dad," said Stubbs.
Dawson is a retired legendary equipment manager that worked at Grambling for the majority of his career.
In 1999, Stubbs received his bachelor's degree from Grambling State University, then continued on to receive his master's degree in 2002.
