NACOGDOCHES, Texas | The Grambling State University women's volleyball team outlast Louisiana-Monroe in five sets, 3-2, but dropped a 3-0 decision to host Stephen F. Austin on Friday afternoon in the SFA Volleyball Tournament.

Scores: 25-22, 12-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-8

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Grambling State (3-5) trailed 21-19 in the opening set, but only allowed the Warhawks just one point in grabbing a 1-0 in the match.
- Louisiana-Monroe cruised to the second-set victory to even match.
- ULM led 19-17 and moved one step closer to winning the match with the third-set victory.
- The Lady Tigers held off the Warhawks to claim the fourth set and even the match at 2.
- Grambling State controlled the fifth set to earn the win.

- Grambling State finished with 54 kills, 25 errors and 174 total attacks for a .167 percentage
- The Lady Tigers' registered a .238 hitting percent in the fourth set (16 kills on 42 total attacks)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stephen F. Austin opened the match with five straight points and scored seven of the first eight in the match as Grambling State never recovered in falling behind 1-0.
- The Lady Tigers took an 8-6 lead in the second set, but the Ladyjacks went on a 7-1 run to grab the 13-7 advantage.
- In the third set, GSU started slow as SFA took an early 5-0 lead as the Lady Tigers could not recover.

- Grambling State finished with 24 kills, 20 errors and 94 total attacks
- The Lady Tigers hit .194 in the second set (11 kills on 31 total attacks)
- Tess Reynolds led the offense with six kills
- Kalee Cadwell dished out 16 assists
