GRAMBLING, La. | I On a windy afternoon at the GSU Soccer Complex, the Grambling State University women's soccer dismantled Chicago State 3-1, in the final home game for the Lady Tigers on Saturday morning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 21st minute, Grambling State's Beatriz Kretteis drew a foul in the penalty area. Kretteis converted the ensuing penalty kick into a goal, giving the Lady Tigers a 1-0 lead.
- Chicago State 34th tied the game at 1 on a misplayed ball by GSU's defense. CSU's Barbie Castellanos took advantage of a ball that carried past the Lady Tigers' defense by a gust of wind, scoring the goal.
- In 80th minute, Karlyn Judge found the back of the net, scooping up a rebound off of a free kick by Imogen Fowler, giving GSU a 2-1 advantage
- Fowler scored a goal of her own in the 83rd minute, depositing a header just past the CSU keeper, putting the game out of reach at 3-1.

Grambling State travels to Pine Bluff, Ark. to face Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Arkasas-Pine Bluff on Friday, October 28th. The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start. It's season finale for the Lady Tigers.
