Grambling Lady Tigers Opens Conference Play with a 28-point victory over the Prairie View A&M Panthers

GRAMBLING, La.| Scoring 21 points Kahia Warmsley dominated on the court helping the Grambling State Lady Tigers capture a 28-point victory over the Prairie View A&M Panthers with a final score of 82 – 54 in their SWAC opener.
 
Ending the first quarter with a tied score of 14 there was work to be done to defend home court. After consistently outscoring the panthers in the next three quarters the lady tigers sealed the deal.
 
With multiple 3 pointers and a slew of made free throws the Lady Tigers dominated the second quarter creating a 10-point lead.
 
The panthers looked to answer in the third quarter with Ryann Payne shooting their first 3 pointer of the game with 6:28 on the clock, while the lady tigers took comfortable layups and free throws until the end sinking back-to-back 3's
 
Grambling entered the final 10 minutes of the game up by 26 and held their lead until the very end.

This game marks the 6th home win of the season and Courtney Simmons first win in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. The lady tigers will return to the court on Monday January 8th at 5:30 pm against Texas Southern in the Fredrick C Hobdy Assembly Center. Fans as always are encouraged to come out and support.
