GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University women's volleyball team fought hard but ultimately fell 3-2 to Alabama State in a thrilling match at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center on Monday night. The loss brings Grambling's record to 4-9 overall and 1-1 in SWAC play, while Alabama State improved to 5-10 overall and 2-0 in conference.

The Tigers took the lead early with a strong first set, but Alabama State responded, winning three of the next four sets to claim the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Grambling set the tone with a 25-21 win in the first set, fueled by effective attacking and key blocks. The second set saw several lead changes, but Alabama State pulled ahead late, winning 25-23. The Tigers came back strong in the third set, securing a 25-20 win, but Alabama State answered with a 25-19 victory in the fourth set. The decisive fifth set was controlled by Alabama State, who took an early lead and never looked back, winning 15-8 to seal the match.
