THIBODAUX, LA. |Â The Grambling State Lady Tigers faced off against Nicholls on Tuesday night, but a power outage disrupted the game. Play resumed on Wednesday at noon, starting from the second quarter at the David R. Stopher Gymnasium where Nicholls (2-1) lead 15-10. The match ended in a 76-61 win for Nicholls.
The first quarter saw a tight battle, but Nicholls 40% shooting from the field gave them an early edge. At Halftime, Grambling led 30-28, propelled by key contributions from

Sharonica Hartsfield.Â
The Tigers offensive efforts were led by
Sharonica Hartsfield, scoring 14 points, hitting 3 of 6 from beyond the arc.

Alyssa Phillip contributed 9 and 8 points, respectively, but struggled to find a consistent rhythm against a staunch Nicholls defense. Grambling shot 37.9% from the field and struggled from three-point range, hitting only 5 of 17 attempts.
Nicholls took control in the second half, outscoring Grambling 50-39. Their efficient second half shooting, particularly from beyond the arc, widened the gap.
