Grambling, LA --- The Grambling Lady Tigers Softball team suffered a 9-0 loss to the Lady Tigers of Jackson State today in a make-up game from the Southwestern Athletic Conference East-West Round Up.
After retiring the side three up and three down in the first inning GSU fell behind in the second allowing five runs (two earned). Jackson State would go on to add two runs in each the third and fifth innings. Though they failed to score Grambling had several opportunities including the fourth inning in which they left bases loaded.
For Jackson State A. McClendon went three-for-three with three runs scored and an RBI. C. Montgomery was two-for-three with two RBI's. Brittany Talley pitched a complete five innings for the win allowing only two hits.
Grambling will return to action Wednesday when they host Belhaven in a double header beginning at 2:00 pm at the Lady Tigers field on the GSU Campus.
