BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced Saturday, May 2, the 2015 softball tournament bracket with Jackson State University and Texas Southern University claiming the number one seeds after clinching the eastern and western division titles, respectfully.

The tournament format is double elimination, beginning Wednesday, May 6, at Wilson Morgan Park in Decatur, Ala. The championship game is set for Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m. with ESPN3 scheduled to televise the event. Games will be played on fields one and four.

Wednesday's, first-round games will be played with eastern division seeds matching up against the western division.

The eight teams are seeded in the following order:
East #1 – Jackson State
West #1 – Texas Southern
East #2 – Alabama State University
West #2 – Southern University and A&M College
East #3 – Mississippi Valley State University
West #3 – Prairie View A&M University
East #4 – Alabama A&M University
West #4  – Grambling State University

First pitches of the tournament are Wednesday at 3 p.m. as the Hornets face Prairie View A&M in game one, on field one, and Southern goes up against the Devilettes, on field four, for game two.

The next set of games begin at 5:30 p.m. as Texas Southern meets Alabama A&M on field one (game three), and Jackson State greets Grambling State on field four (game four).
