Kendalyn Arceneaux and
Brianna Maiden, recording two runners batted in, which secure the final points for Grambling in the competition. Jackson State answered with adding one point in the bottom of the first inning. The GSU Lady Tigers couldn't hold off JSU, who answered with 11 more points in the remaining five innings of the competition, securing the victory 5-12.
Next, the Lady Tigers will take on Southwestern Athletic Conference rival Southern University today at 5 p.m. at Wilson Morgan Park in Decatur, Alabama, on field one.
