Box Score BATON ROUGE, La. – Aubrion James tossed a four-hit shutout in Southern University's 5-0 win over the Grambling State softball team on Saturday morning at Lady Jaguar Field. With the win, the Lady Jaguars complete the three-game sweep of the Lady Tigers.
 
Southern improved to 15-16 overall and 7-7 in the SWAC, while Grambling fell to 12-30 and 2-13.
 
McKenzie Johnson, Tia Coleman, Monique Smith and Allye Hartley each had one hit for the Lady Tigers.
 
Caitlin McDowell was GSU's starting pitcher. She pitched two innings and allowed five hits and four runs (two earned). Reliever Alexus Brown pitched four innings, giving up two hits and one earned run.
 
The Lady Tigers conclude SWAC play with a three-game series at Texas Southern on Friday and Saturday. The teams play a single game at 3 p.m. on Friday and then a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
