New Orleans (May 06, 2012) - The Grambling State University Tigers' Men track team ran circles around the competition in New Orleans, LA in the 2012 Southwestern Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field competition.
 
The Tigers finished the three day competition with 149.5 points. The following teams are listed in the order in which they finished: Prairie View A & M (125), Southern (112.5), Texas Southern (103.5), Jackson State (91.6), Alabama State (75.7), Mississippi Valley State (63), Arkansas- Pine Bluff (48), Alabama A & M (27), and Alcorn State (18).
 
Darwin Price's outstanding efforts earned him Most Outstanding Track Performer and Head Coach Bertram Levell has earned Coach of the Year for the second time during the 2011-12 school year.
 
The Lady Tigers finished fifth in the women's competition.
